No longer for just your butter and bread roll, they can be hung like pictures in their own right. We have quite a few scattered around our home.
Whether they are grouped in a collection in the hall, or displayed as a single statement, here are my top 5 beautiful plates.
I absolutely adore these Joules plates, I have the ‘Badger’ one, for obvious reasons, but there are some real beauties out there including a fox, dog, cow and hen. Country kitchen or super sparse hallway, they would look awesome! The plates come in such a variety of stunning colours, I am sure there would be something for you. And at the bargain price of £8.95, £4.95 in the current sale.
No top 5 of mine is going to be without something of Rob Ryan‘s. You get that I love his work and the plates are no different (we have them in our bedroom and living room). These ones represent love, romance and beauty, but there is also a series covering the seasons, a collection including sacred places and bells! Classical in colour, they really convey a feeling of warmth and homeliness. Prices vary.
Extremely bold and glamorous, perhaps not one for the faint-hearted, not only are they £130 for the four they are definitely eye catching hey! I would be too scared to use them at that price, the wall is the best place for them!
Created by Dutch interior designer Anke Van der, this plate is designed to be teamed with others in the series. They really scream all things Amsterdam so check em out on John Lewis. Prices range from a reasonable £4 to £50. With such vibrant colours, I can’t imagine them not being a focal point for your home.
Cheese! These are an absolute bargain! All 4 for under £13 from Amazon! It would be rude not too right? They are functional too as they are microwave and dishwasher safe. We have a slightly different pattern of these plates hung in our kitchen.
